Overview of YT8521SH-CA

The YT8521SH-CA provides all the physical layer functionality required to transmit and receive Ethernet packets over CAT.5E UTP cables.The YT8521SH-CA utilizes state-of-the-art DSP technology and an analog front-end (AFE) to enable high-speed data transmission and reception over UTP cables.

The YT8521SH-CA implements crossover detection and auto-correction, polarity correction, adaptive equalization, crosstalk cancellation, echo cancellation, timing recovery, and error correction to provide powerful transmission and reception at 10Mbps, 100Mbps, or 1000Mbps. Data transfer between the MAC and PHY is via the Reduced Gigabit Multimedia Interface (RGMII) or 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-T, 100BASE-T, or 1000BASE-T. Data transfer between the MAC and PHY is via the Thin Gigabit Separate Media Interface (RGMII) or the Serial Gigabit Separate Media Interface (SGMII) for 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 10BASE-Te.

The YT8521SH-CA supports a variety of RGMII signaling voltages including 3.3V, 2.5V, and 1.8V. The YT8521SH-CA also supports SerDes interfaces that can be configured as SGMII, 1000BASE-X, or 100BASE-FX. The YT8521SH-CA features Motorcomm's proprietary LRE100-4 The YT8521SH-CA features Motorcomm's proprietary LRE100-4 feature, which enables the device to auto-negotiate and connect to an LRE100-4 compliant link partner, connecting up to 400 meters of link at 100Mbps over CAT.5E cable in extended cable coverage applications.The YT8521SH-CA supports an industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
