Overview:

The SI5351A-B04504-GTR is an I2C configurable clock generator that is ideal for replacing crystals, crystal oscillators, VCXOs, phase-locked loops (PLL) and fan-out buffers in cost-sensitive applications.

Based on the PLL/VCXO + high-resolution MultiSynth decimal divider architecture, the Si5351 can generate any frequency up to 200 MHz on each of its outputs with an error of 0 ppm. The Si5351 is available in three versions to suit a variety of applications.


The Si5351A uses an internal oscillator to generate up to eight free-running clocks to replace the crystal and crystal oscillator. The Si5351B adds an internal VCXO and provides flexibility to replace free running and synchronous clocks. It eliminates the need for higher-cost custom pull-out crystals while providing reliable operation over a wide tuning range. The Si5351C offers the same flexibility, but is synchronized with an external reference clock (CLKIN).

Precise frequency synthesis per output (0 ppm error)

High linear VCXO

Low output cycle jitter: < 70 ps pp, typ

Configurable spread spectrum can be selected at each output

Operates with low-cost, fixed-frequency crystals: 25 or 27 MHz

Static phase offset is supported

Programmable rise/fall time control

No burr frequency change

Separate power pins provide level switching:

Kernel VDD: 2.5 or 3.3V

Output VDDO: 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3V

Excellent PSRR eliminates external power filtering

Very low power consumption

Adjustable output delay

Three packaging types are available:

10-MSOP: 3 outputs

16-QFN (3x3 mm) : 4 outputs

20-QFN (4x4 mm) : 8 outputs

Compatible with PCIE Gen 1

Support HCSL compatible swing
