TPS62152AQRGTRQ1 Product Overview:

The TPS62150A-Q1 device is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter optimized for the application. The high switching frequency of typically 2.5MHz allows the use of small inductors and provides fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy through the use of DCS-Control™ topology technology.


With a wide operating input voltage range of 3 to 17V, this device is ideally suited for systems powered by the intermediate bus supply rails. The output voltage ranges from 0.9V to 6V and supports continuous output currents of up to 1A (using 100% duty cycle mode).


The output voltage start-up ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin, allowing operation as a standalone supply or in a tracking configuration. Power sequencing is also possible by configuring the enable and open drain power normal pins.


In power save mode, the device shows a quiescent current from VIN of approximately 17µA. If the load is small, it automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode and maintains high efficiency over the entire load range. In shutdown mode, the device is turned off and the shutdown current consumption is less than 2µA. The device is available in a 3mm × 3mm (RGT) 16-pin ultra-thin quad flat leadless (VQFN) package.


TPS62150A-Q1 device features:

- Pin selectable output voltage (nominal value, +5%)

- Programmable soft-start and tracking

- Seamless energy saving mode transition

- Quiescent current of 17µA (typical)

- Selectable operating frequency

- Power supply normal state output

- 100% duty cycle mode

- Short circuit protection

- Over-temperature protection

- Pin-to-pin compatible with TPS62130A-Q1

- Available in a 3mm × 3mm VQFN-16 package
