Product Description:

The LM5149QRGYRQ1 is an 80V ultra-low IQ synchronous step-down DC/DC controller for high current single output applications. The LM5149QRGYRQ1 can be set to operate in bi-phase mode for accurate current sharing and is suitable for high current applications. The device can be operated at VINs as low as 3.5V and duty cycles as close to 100% as required.


The LM5149QRGYRQ1 has two unique EMI reduction features: an active EMI filter and Dual Random Spread Spectrum (DRSS). The active EMI filter detects any noise or ripple voltage on the DC input bus and injects a heterodyne cancellation signal to reduce interference, while the DRSS combines low frequency delta modulation with high frequency random modulation to reduce EMI on the low and high frequency bands respectively.

- Device temperature class 1: -40°C to +125°C ambient operating temperature range

- Functional safety type

- Documentation to assist with functional safety system design

- Two integrated EMI mitigation mechanisms

- Active EMI filter for improved EMI performance at low frequencies

- Optional Dual Random Spread Spectrum (DRSS) for enhanced EMI reduction performance at low and high frequency bands

- Average EMI reduction of 25dBµV

- Reduces external differential mode input filter size by 50% and reduces system cost

- Versatile synchronous step-down DC/DC controller

- Wide input voltage range of 3.5V to 80V

- 1% accuracy, fixed 3.3V/5V/12V or 0.8V to 55V adjustable output voltage

- 150°C maximum junction temperature

- Off mode current: 2.3µA

- No-load sleep current: 9.5µA

- Stackable up to two phases

- Switching frequency range of 100kHz to 2.2MHz

- Synchronous input and synchronous output functions

- Inherent protection features for robust designs

- Internal intermittent mode overcurrent protection

- Enable and PGOOD functions

- VCC, VDDA and gate drive UVLO protection

- Thermal shutdown protection with hysteresis function

- Use the LM5149-Q1 and create custom designs with WEBENCH® Power Designer
