The LP873220RHDRQ1 dual circuit high current step-down converter and linear voltage regulator are ideal for meeting the requirements of automotive camera and radar applications. The device contains two step-down DC-DC converters, two linear voltage regulators, and a universal digital output signal. The device supports load current measurement without adding an external current sensing resistor. Features include input voltages from 2.8V to 5.5V, configurable universal output signals (GPO, GPO2), and operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +125°C. LP873220/LP873220-Q1 devices comply with AEC-Q100 certification for automotive applications.

The LP873220RHDRQ1 is controlled by I2C compatible serial interface and enable signal. Automatic PWM/PFM (automatic mode) operation provides high efficiency over a wide output current range. The device supports remote voltage sensing to compensate the IR voltage drop between the voltage regulator output and the point of load (POL), thereby improving the accuracy of the output voltage. In addition, switching clocks can be forced into PWM mode and synchronized with the external clock to minimize interference.
