The RW612CHN is a highly integrated low-power tri-band wireless MCU that integrates the MCU and Wi-Fi®6+Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) 5.4/802.15.4 RF unit for a variety of applications. These include connected smart home devices, enterprise and industrial automation, smart accessories and smart energy.

The RW612 MCU subsystem is powered by a 260MHz Arm® Cortex-M33 core with Trustzone™-M, 1.2MB on-chip SRAM, and a high-bandwidth 4-channel SPI interface with an instant decryption engine for secure access to off-chip XIP flash memory.

The RW612 includes a full-featured 1x1 dual-band (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 20MHz Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) subsystem that delivers higher throughput, higher network efficiency, lower latency, and greater coverage than the previous generation Wi-Fi standard. The Bluetooth Low Power RF unit supports high data rates of 2Mbit/s, long distance and extended broadcasting. The on-chip 802.15.4 RF unit supports the latest Thread mesh networking protocol. In addition, the RW612 can support Matter over Wi-Fi or Matter over Thread, providing a common interoperable application layer for multiple ecosystems and products.

It also incorporates EdgeLock® security technology with secure startup, secure debugging, secure firmware updates, and secure lifecycle management, as well as hardware encryption and physically unclonable functions (PUFs) to provide secure key management.

The RW612 features an advanced design for tightly integrated, low-power and highly safe operation in a wireless MCU that requires only a single 3.3V power supply, with high space utilization and cost performance.
