The BCM89810 100mb /s in-car Ethernet transceiver is integrated on a single CMOS chip. The device performs all physical layer functions of BroadR-Reach® encoded Ethernet packets over a single pair of unshielded twisted pair copper wires (e.g. FlexRay™).

Designed to exceed automotive specifications for noise cancellation and transmission jitter, the BCM89810 provides consistent and reliable operation across the widest range of single-pair twisted pair automotive cable plants.

The BCM89810 is based on Broadcom's proven digital signal processor technology, combining a digital adaptive equalizer, adc, phase-locked loop, line driver, encoder, decoder, echo canceller and all other required support circuitry. fully compliant with RGMII and MII interface specifications, the BCM89810 allows compatibility with industry-standard Ethernet media access controllers ( mac) and switch controllers.
