The PM5456A-FEI HyPHY-10Gflex device is Microchip's second-generation OTN-supported high-capacity system-on-chip solution. It is applicable to multi-service configuration platform (MSPP), Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) platform, reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexer (ROADM), optical transport platform (OTP), packet OTP and optical access platform.

The PM5456A-FEI HyPHY10Gflex introduces ODU0 and ODUflex functions into universal multi-rate, multi-service lines, transponders and multiplexed repeater cards. The PM5456A-FEI HyPHY-10Gflex is pin-compatible with the PM5426 HyPHY-10G and offers unprecedented single-chip scalability and functional integration to achieve the best footprint, power consumption and cost-effectiveness.

PM5456A-FEI HyPHY-10Gflex provides rich framing, mapping and multiplexing resources for various protocols, including multi-rate bit transparent services such as OTN, SONET/SDH, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, ESCON, FICON and video.
