The DRA791BBGCBDRQ1 processor is packaged in a 538-ball, 17mm x 17mm, 0.65mm ball pitch (0.8mm pitch rule is available for signals), ball-grid array (S-BGA) package enabled by Channel™ Array (VCA) technology. Programming capabilities are available with a single-core Arm Cortex-A15 RISC CPU with Neon™ extension and a TI C66x VLIW floating-point DSP core.

With the Arm processor, developers can reduce system software complexity by separating control functions from other algorithms programmed on the DSP and coprocessors. In addition, TI offers a full suite of development tools for both Arm and DSP, including a C language compiler and a debugging interface to view source code execution.
