Orion (MV-CDO0800-A0-FE150AA-C000) is an ultra-low-power, multi-mode, 800G multi-rate digital signal processor (DSP) ASIC designed for pluggable applications. Orion uses low-power 5nm CMOS technology for power - and cost-sensitive metro, long-distance, and cloud links. Orion supports bandwidth of up to 800Gb/s on one light wavelength and has a flexible combination of client interfaces.

The MV-CDO0800-A0-FE150AA-C000 multi-rate DSP is developed using advanced 5nm CMOS process technology with a flexible architecture with high performance and low power consumption, while supporting OIF, Open ZR+, OpenROADM and IEEE standards. The Orion Coherent DSP also supports CFP2-based 400G long range and 800G metropolitan area network solutions. Orion is optimized to drive the IPoDWDM architecture.

Probabilistic shaping is enabled by the energy-efficient and high-performance DSP architecture of the MV-CDO0800-A0-FE150AA-C000, a technology that maximizes data rates and reduces deployment costs per bit over long fiber distances.
