The USB2422T/MJ hub is a low-power, single-transaction converter, hub controller IC with two downlink ports for embedded USB solutions. A hub controller can be connected to an upstream port as a high speed and full speed hub or as a full speed hub only. The hub supports low-speed, full-speed, and high-speed (when configured as a high-speed hub) downstream devices on enabled downstream ports.

USB2422 features:

• Support for USB battery charging specification version 1.1

• Fully integrated USB termination and pull-up/pull-down resistors

• Supports a single external 3.3V power supply; Internal regulator provides 1.2 V internal core voltage

• On-chip drivers for 24 MHz crystal resonators or external 24 MHz clock inputs

• ESD protection up to 6 kV for all USB pins

• Support self-powered operation

• The hub includes built-in default configurations; No external configuration options or components are required

• Downstream ports serve as non-removable ports

• Individual or group downstream port power control and overcurrent detection

• Port by port support for composite devices

• 24-pin SQFN (4x4 mm), RoHS compliant package

• Commercial temperature range: 0ºC to +70ºC

• Industrial temperature range: -40ºC to +85ºC
