The BCM85828-DIE is a 5nm CMOS 800G (4:4) PAM-4 transceiver PHY with an integrated laser driver. It converts four 212.5 Gb/s channels from the client to four 212.5 Gb/s channels to drive the next generation of high-density fiber PAM-4 links within an eight-channel small pluggable (OSFP) module.

The BCM85828-DIE also has cross bars on the client side for easier wiring in the PCB.

On-chip clock synthesis is performed by a low-cost 312.5/625 MHZ reference clock via a high-frequency, low-jitter phase-locked loop (PLL).

Supports 200G silicon photonic (SiPh) optics and 3.0V differential high swing drivers

The client supports 35dB+ channels

Support client cross switch, to achieve flexible wiring

Supports FEC monitoring in repeater mode and provides subsampling to reduce power consumption
