The BCM88770A1KFSBG is a switching element based on a self-routing unit. Together with the BCM88670 and BCM88680, the BCM88770 provides a complete solution for switching structures, traffic management, packet processing and network interfaces. The switching platform can be scaled to 6,000 100GbE ports.

The BCM88770 offers scalability in three areas: port rate, port number and traffic management services, allowing users to connect mixed-rate line cards, such as 100 Gbps to 3.6 Tbps, with various traffic management schemes.
