The BCM87850A0KEFBG is a single-chip, eight-channel, ultra-low-power, ultra-low-latency PHY with integrated retimer and equaliser to support active cable applications.

The BCM87850A0KEFBG is capable of equalising up to 22 dB of loss on the client and line side interfaces. Each channel supports multiple data rates, including 106.25 Gb/s. On-chip clock synthesis is accomplished by a low-cost 312.5-MHz reference clock through a high-frequency, low-jitter phase-locked loop (PLL).

The BCM87850A0KEFBG is fabricated in low-power 7 nm CMOS technology in a 12 mm × 12 mm, 0.5 mm pitch, 485-ball BGA, RoHS-compliant package.
