The BCM56260A0IFSBG is Broadcom's tenth generation StrataXGS® product line. With worst-case power consumption as low as 3.5W, the BCM56260 series is ideal for power-sensitive carrier Ethernet access applications such as microwave full ODU, NID/EAD, and mobile backtrip edge access.

The BCM56260 series provides unprecedented integration of system functions to reduce system BOM. It combines feature-rich carrier-grade Layer 2 / Layer 3 switches, host processors, Service activation test (SAT) engines, and telecom DPLL into a single device. Comprehensive OAM functional integration completely eliminates the need for additional OAM engine equipment.
