The BCM56080A1KFSBG is a small, low-power 1.6Tb /s Ethernet switch with MACsec/IPSec encryption, flexible I/O, and supports port speeds from 1G to 400G. The BCM56080 device family can be used as an efficient dual-homing line card device in a centralized chassis system, or as a standalone connection switch.

The BCM56080 family's integrated hardware security engine prevents network intrusions by protecting all endpoints connected to it. It provides port-based and stream-based MACSec encryption as well as tunnel mode IPSec encryption.

The BCM56080 series has a wealth of high - and low-speed SerDes interfaces to provide a single-chip solution for 48-port multiGig line cards and a dual-chip solution for 48-port 25G line cards.

The low power consumption and versatile I/O with high and low speed ports make the device extremely attractive for enterprise, connectivity and mobile infrastructure applications. The BCM56080 is part of the proven StrataXGS family with a unified SDK for fast time-to-market.
