The Broadcom BCM78900 series is a class of high-base, high-bandwidth network switching devices that support ports up to 64 × 800GbE, 128 × 400GbE, or 256 × 200GbE ports. With up to 64 integrated Peregrine SerDes cores, each with eight integrated 106 Gb/s PAM 4 SerDes transceivers and associated PCS, the device family provides native support for numerous physical connectivity options, enabling a wide range of media, speeds and coverage.

The BCM78900B0KFSBG provides high-bandwidth, seamless network connectivity of up to 51.2Tb /s on a single chip. The product is designed to meet the requirements of the next generation of data center and cloud computing environments. The BCM78900 architecture provides full L2 and L3 switching, routing, and tunneling capabilities with line speed and maximum port density, low power consumption, and low latency.
