The A4980KLPTR is a flexible microstepping motor driver with a built-in translator for easy operation. It is a single chip solution designed to operate bipolar stepper motors in full step, half step, quarter step and sixteenth step modes with voltages up to 28 V and currents of ±1.4 A. The A4980KLPTR can be controlled by simple step and direction inputs, or via an SPI compatible serial interface, and can also be used for programming many integrated functions and reading diagnostic information.

The A4980KLPTR is available in a 28-pin TSSOP power supply package with exposed heat sink (package type LP). This package is lead (Pb)-free and has a 100% matt tin-lead frame plating.
