The YT9218MB is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch that integrates 8 PHY ports and supports 1000Base-T/100Base-TX/10Base-Te. It supports a maximum of two uplink 2.5Gbps/1Gbps SerDes interfaces; or two uplink RGMII/MII/RMII interfaces; or two uplink interfaces in the form of a combination of SerDes and RGMII/MII/RMII. or a combination of SerDes and RGMII/MII/RMII to support two uplink interfaces. It can realize 8+2 ports switching applications on a single chip; it can flexibly connect to various SoCs to realize home gateway applications such as routing, PON, DSL, etc.; and it can be combined with CPU to realize firewall, behavioural server and other high-level gateway applications.
