The BCM54501BIQLEG is Broadcom's first fully integrated BroadR-Reach multilayer switch that supports industrial networking applications. The BCM54501 is the best solution for critical industrial designs with high performance and low power requirements. The BCM54501 features an industry-leading 65nm architecture that supports multiple intuitive low-power modes as well as cable diagnostics. The BCM54501 can be interlinked with other devices through a variety of interfaces for scalable, high-performance systems, including RGMII, SGMII, GMII, MII and Reverse MII.

The BCM54501 supports four integrated BroadR-Reach PHYs, one integrated BroadR-Reach/100TX PHY, and two uplink ports. The BCM54501 is available in a 176-pin LQFP package for the industrial temperature range (-40 °C to +85°C).
