The BCM81181A1KRFBG is a single-chip, low-power, low-latency PAM-4 PHY with integrated retimer and equalizer capabilities for 400GbE applications. In 400GbE mode, the BCM81181 is retimed, adds FEC(optional), and equalizes the 8 × 50G PAM-4 host end signal to the 8 × 50G PAM-4 line end signal to drive the PAM-4 fiber link in the next generation module, including QSFPDD and OSFP. The BCM81181 is IEEE compliant with KP4 FEC and FEC bypass capabilities.
