The BCM87728A0KFSBG is a single-chip 8×53.125 Gb/s PAM-4 to 16 × 25.78125 Gb/s NRZ reverse transmission PHY that supports PAM-4 and NRZ data formats. It also supports various operating modes, such as retimer, forward and backward transmission modes. It also supports 10G, 25G, 40G, 50G, 100G, 200G and 400G cable card applications. On-chip clock synthesis is performed by a low-cost reference clock via a high-frequency, low-jitter phase-locked loop (PLL).
