The BCM8988x is a 1000BASE-T1 Ethernet transceiver device designed for automotive applications including in-car connectivity, infotainment, ADAS and smart mobility. The device performs all physical layer (PHY) functions of 1000BASE-T1 encoded Ethernet packets over a pair of unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables. Designed to meet automotive specifications for EMI/EMC, noise cancellation and transmission jailing, the BCM8988x provides consistent, reliable operating performance with a single unshielded twisted pair automotive cable.
