The QorIQ® Qonverge B4860NSE7QUMD system-on-chip is suitable for next-generation multi-standard wireless base stations. Based on 28nm process technology, the B4860 delivers unrivalled levels of throughput and capacity, with an efficient, high-performance programmable core and application-specific accelerators for optimal price/performance. It is specifically designed for wide area base stations for broadband wireless communications infrastructure, using our multi-core CPUs and DSPs that have been successfully applied in the wireless infrastructure market.

The B4860 integrates four 64-bit dual-threaded e6500 cores based on Power Architecture® technology, six StarCore® SC3900FP fixed-fixed/floating-point DSP cores, and the MAPLE-B baseband acceleration processing engine. It is adaptable to the rapidly changing and expanding LTE (FDD and TDD), LTE-Advanced including 3GPP LTE version 10/11, and WCDMA standards, and can support different standards simultaneously.
