The MLX90363KGO-ABB-000-SP is a monolithic magnetic sensor integrated circuit using Tria⊗is® Hall technology. Conventional planar Hall technology is only sensitive to magnetic flux densities orthogonal to the surface of the integrated circuit. Hall sensors can also be sensitive to magnetic flux densities parallel to the surface of the integrated circuit. This is obtained through an integrated magnetic concentrator (IMC) deposited on the CMOS chip. It is sensitive to three (BX, BY and BZ) magnetic flux density components applied to the surface of the IC. In this way, any magnet moving around it can be sensed and decoded.
