The LTM8050MPY is a 58VIN, 2A step-down μModule® converter with a switching controller, power switch, and all supporting components built into the package. With a switching controller, power switches, inductors, and all supporting components built into the package, the LTM8050MPY operates over an input voltage range of 3.6V to 58V, supports an output voltage range of 0.8V to 24V, and a switching frequency range of 100kHz to 2.4MHz (each set by a single resistor). Only large input and output filter capacitors are required to complete the design.

The LTM8050MPY is packaged in a 9mm x 15mm x 4.92mm ball grid array (BGA) package suitable for automated assembly using standard surface mount equipment. Pin coatings are available in SnPb (BGA) or RoHS compliant.
