The ISL91212B is a four phase four output programmable PMIC. The device is optimized for efficient synchronous step-down converters capable of both multiphase and single-phase operations, providing up to 5A continuous output current per phase. Has four buck controllers and can reconfigure their power levels to these controllers. This flexibility allows for seamless design and is suitable for a wide range of applications requiring high output power and small solution sizes.
The ISL91212B incorporates a low-on-resistance mosfet and programmable PWM frequency, allowing the use of very small external inductors and capacitors. It features automatic diode emulation under light load conditions and pulse skip modes to further improve efficiency and maximize battery life. The ISL91212B provides a highly robust power solution by employing a controller based on proprietary Renesas R5 technology that provides rigorous output accuracy and load regulation, ultra-fast transient response, seamless DCM/CCM conversion, and no external compensation.
