The ESP82X Wi-Fi SoC (System-on-Chip) provides a complete, standalone Wi-Fi networking solution for Iot (Internet of Things) applications. The ESP8266 and ESP8285 SoCs integrate the Tensilica L106 32-bit microcontroller unit (MCU) with ultra-low power consumption and a 16-bit RSIC with a maximum clock speed of 160MHz. By enabling the real-time Operating System (RTOS) and the functional Wi-Fi stack, approximately 80% of the processing power is available for user application programming and development.
