The TPS92691/TPS92691-Q1 multi-topology LED driver is a versatile LED controller that can support a variety of boost or buck driver topologies. The device uses fixed frequency peak current mode control technology with programmable switching frequency, ramp compensation and soft-start timing. It includes a high voltage (65V) rail-to-rail current sense amplifier that allows direct measurement of LED current via a high-side or low-side series sense resistor. The amplifier is designed to achieve low input bias voltages to obtain better than ±3% LED current accuracy. Implementation conditions are a wiring temperature range of 25°C to 140°C and an output common-mode voltage range of 0 V to 60 V. The TPS92691-Q1 device meets AEC-Q100 certification for automotive applications.
