November 24, 2022 - Under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group has organized concept prototype tests of key 6G technologies. ZTE Corporation actively cooperated with the 6G Promotion Group in the tests and participated in the exploration and research of 6G-related technologies: it invested a lot of manpower and resources in this test, and carried out and participated in all five types of concept prototype tests, including: 6G distributed autonomous network and digital twin network concept prototype, 6G algorithmic network key technology concept prototype, 6G terahertz key technology concept prototype, 6G communication-aware integration concept prototype, 6G communication-aware integration concept prototype, and 6G key technology concept prototype. The results of the experimental tests were remarkable, and the relevant technical indicators demonstrated good functionality and performance.

In the 6G distributed autonomous network and digital twin network concept prototype tests, the ZTE intent network prototype was connected to the network planning scenario verification system, completing the whole process of voice and text intent collection, conversion and driving the planning prototype to execute services; the digital twin prototype passed the access network digital twin network capacity capability, access network digital twin network similarity and access network digital twin network prediction capability tests The digital twin passed the access network digital twin network capacity, access network digital twin network similarity and access network digital twin network prediction capability tests.


In the 6G arithmetic network key technology concept prototype test, the ZTE prototype completed the arithmetic network awareness and arithmetic routing function tests in the bearer network environment built on the SRv6 architecture, and achieved better objectives: in the arithmetic network awareness function test, it supported the real-time awareness of network information such as network connection, delay, flow rate and arithmetic information such as CPU occupancy and memory occupancy of the arithmetic service deployment container. In the arithmetic routing test, it supports the ability of real-time arithmetic scheduling and network path selection based on the arithmetic network balancing policy.


In the 6G terahertz key technology concept prototype test, ZTE adopted an electronic terahertz system prototype, which supports up to 2*2MIMO, and supports outdoor long-distance transmission with a spectrum efficiency of more than 7bit/s/Hz under real-time communication.


In the 6G communication sensing integration key technology concept prototype test, ZTE uses millimeter wave communication sensing calculation control integrated prototype equipment, using one AAU, sensing transceiver using different antenna panels in the AAU for isolation, sensing at the same time communication terminal for separate reception of the transmitted signal. The distance accuracy is up to the decimetre level, enabling stable positioning and tracking of UAVs within a range of 1km, which is comparable to the GPS capability within the device.


In the 6G Smart Supersurface Technology Key Technology Concept Prototype test, the ZTE prototype realised the base station and RIS working together to achieve adjustable beam control. Compared to the uninstalled RIS, the measured point position with the RIS on has a gain of up to 30dB.
