RF Synthesizers

TI's RF synthesizer products, such as the LMX2571, are the industry's lowest power wideband RF synthesizers. It integrates an ultra-low-noise phase-locked loop (PLL) and a multi-core voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) to cover a frequency range up to 1.34 GHz. The product achieves low phase noise and low spuriousness with power consumption as low as 39mA (128mW), improving radio sensitivity and dynamic range for applications such as low-power wireless communications, handheld oscilloscopes, and signal analysers. In addition, the LMX2571 features flexible frequency modulation via an easy-to-use I2S interface for portable wireless applications such as land mobile radios, software-defined radios, and wireless microphones.


Intelligent RF Transceivers

TI's smart RF transceiver products, such as the AFE7920, are a four-channel RF-sampling analogue front-end (AFE) featuring a 14-bit, 12 GSPS digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), a 14-bit, 3 GSPS analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), and on-chip integrated phase-locked loops (PLLs) and voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) that generate the high-frequency clocks for the DACs and the ADCs. This transceiver platform can be configured to support up to four transmit, four receive and two feedback (4T4R+2FB) channels for a variety of high-performance base station applications1.
