Description:

The IW611HN/A1CK is a highly integrated 2.4/5GHz dual-band 1x1 Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth/Bluetooth Low Power 5.2 single-chip solution for many iot and industrial applications such as smart homes, smart devices and accessories, smart appliances, smart energy, industrial automation, gateways, and more. This high level of integration helps generate extremely low system costs and small external BOM, while enabling efficient coexistence between all internal RF and external RF such as LTE.

The IW611 includes a full-featured Wi-Fi subsystem powered by NXP 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) technology that delivers higher throughput, higher network efficiency, lower latency, and greater range than the previous generation Wi-Fi standard. The Wi-Fi subsystem integrates Wi-Fi MAC, baseband, and direct conversion RF with integrated power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, and transmit/receive switches without the need for RF front-end modules (FEMS), saving costs and reducing system complexity.

In addition to Wi-Fi 6 RF, the IW611 also integrates a stand-alone Bluetooth 5.2 subsystem that supports Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy. The device has Bluetooth profiles such as hands-free functionality (HFP), Advanced Audio Distribution profile for audio streaming (A2DP), and additional profiles such as Dual Wideband Voice (WBS). For Bluetooth low power, the IW611 supports high data rates of 2Mbit/s, long distance and extended propagation. Finally, LE Audio is supported using isochronous channels for a better overall audio experience.

The IW611 integrates a dedicated CPU and memory for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth subsystems, enabling real-time, independent protocol processing. Interfaces that connect the IW611 to the external main processor include SDIO 3.0 (for Wi-Fi) and UART (for Bluetooth).
