The MLX90830-LXG-BAF-002-SP is a miniaturized, MEMs-based absolute pressure sensor chip with Triphibian™ technology, capable of robust measurement of gas and liquid media from 2 to 70 bar.

Overview:

The MLX90830 is the first product to feature the new patented Triphibian™ technology. The MEMS pressure sensor chip features an unprecedented miniaturization design that robustly measures gas and liquid media from 2 to 70 bar.

The unique construction of the MLX90830 provides an innovative breakthrough for high pressure sensing and compatibility with gases and liquids. The sensor chip is in a SO16 wide-body package that contains a suspended cantilever with a sensing film on the tip.

The MLX90830 chip contains a sensor signal processing circuit, digital hardware, voltage regulator, and analog output driver. The piezoresistive element implanted in the sensing membrane forms a Wheatstone bridge that converts the pressure signal into an electrical signal. After amplification, the signal can be converted into a digital signal, temperature compensated by 16-bit digital signal processing (DSP), and finally analog voltage output is provided by a digital-to-analog converter.
