Recently, ODM enterprise Yidao information in the investor communication platform said that its subsidiary, Billion Virtual, has served a number of well-known customers in the field of AR glasses, and the new AI glasses are also under steady development.

In addition to Yidao Information, Longcheer Technology, Huajin Technology and other ODM enterprises have ushered in new progress in the layout of the XR market, and at the same time, in the AI technology to further land in 2024, we have also seen ODM enterprises extend their strategy to “AI +”.

Yitoa's main business includes consumer computers and tablet products, reinforced intelligent industry terminal products, XR and AIoT products. Currently, consumer computers and tablets are its main source of revenue, while reinforced intelligent industry terminal products, XR and AIoT products are important businesses for its future growth. In wearable devices, AI smart glasses are rising rapidly, IDC's data show that global smart glasses shipments in the first quarter of 2024 grew 217% year-on-year. This has also become the direction of ODM enterprises layout.

Yidao Information said the company is optimistic about the digitization of traditional glasses that can be worn for a long time and the new product direction of AI intelligence, which is one of the reasons why the company is developing AI glasses. Yitoa is also carrying out “AI+” strategic transformation, deepening technical cooperation with Intel, AMD, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Rexchip Micro, Spreadtrum and other OEM partners. Yitoa believes that “new category directions such as AI family computing center based on artificial intelligence, spatial computing, spatial perception, AI glasses, and AI smart computing center” are the key to the development of AI glasses. Glasses and other new category direction of technology empowerment is more and more important”.

In the recent investor relations activities, due to the requirements of the customer confidentiality agreement, neither Hutchinson Technology nor Longcheer Technology disclosed the specific customer name and product model. Longcheer Technology said the company has cooperated with global Internet head customers, successfully launched and continued to cooperate with two generations of smart glasses products. Thanks to the deep integration and innovative application of AI technology, the second generation of smart glasses products have performed well in the market.

The development momentum of the AI smart glasses market brought by the XR industry and AI technology remains strong. Although it faces many challenges, the opportunities are equally great.
