AKM developed the VELVET SOUND brand products AK4490R and AK4493S by redesigning the DAC "AK4490" and the higher-spec "AK4493", which had been used in a variety of high-end home audio devices and portable audio devices, using new high sound technology.
The new VELVET SOUND technology improves electrical performance and stability, delivering rich "information" and "motion" at lower power consumption than the previous generation AK4490 and AK4493.
The Digital input supports Max 768kHz PCM input and 22.4MHz DSD(Direct Stream Digital) input (AK4493S), enabling the "original sound" reproduction of information-rich high-resolution audio sources.
