BM78SPPS5MC2-0B06AA Description:

The BM78 Bluetooth® 4.2 Dual-Mode module is a fully certified module that makes it easy to add dual-mode Bluetooth® wireless capabilities to your product. The BM78 module is based on the IS1678 Bluetooth dual-mode module and is available in ROM-based (BM78SPPx5NC2) and flash-based (BM78SPPx5MC2) versions. These BM78 dual-mode modules connect products to a smartphone or tablet for easy data transfer, control, and access to cloud applications that provide local connectivity for the Internet of Things.

The BM78 module sends or receives data in transparent UART mode, and then transmits data through a Bluetooth link. This makes it easy to integrate with any microprocessor or microcontroller with a UART interface. The BM78 dual-mode module can also be easily configured via the UI tool (a Windows® configuration utility) or directly from the MCU with the help of UART. Typical applications include iot, secure payments, home and security, health and fitness, and LED lighting.
