The CS42L42 is a low-power audio codec with integrated MIPI SoundWire® interface or I²C/I²S/TDM interface, ideal for portable applications. Also available are high dynamic range, stereo digital-to-analog converters (DACs) for audio playback, and mono high dynamic range analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) for audio capture. The CS42L42 features high performance up to 24-bit audio for analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and digital-to-analog converter (DAC) audio playback and capture functions, as well as S/PDIF transmitters. The CS42L42 architecture includes a bypassable sample rate converter (SRC) and a bypassable three-band 32-bit parametric equalizer to support processing digital audio data. Use a digital mixer to mix an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) or serial port to a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Each mixer input has independent attenuation. The output path processing from the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) or serial port to the two stereo digital-to-analog converters (DAC) includes volume adjustment and mute control.
