Overview:

The SC686A series is Quectel's new generation of multi-mode intelligent LTE Cat 6 modules with built-in Linux OS. The module is based on a Qualcomm octa-core and 64-bit ARM v8.0 compatible application processor with a built-in Adreno 610 GPU designed to support high performance, various multimedia capabilities and fast charging 3.0 technology. It is ideal for industrial and consumer applications with high data rates and multimedia capabilities.

The SC686A series supports Multiple input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology. Using multiple antennas at the receiver end on the same frequency band greatly reduces errors and optimizes data transfer rates. The module also combines high-speed wireless connectivity with an embedded dual-band multi-constellation and high-sensitivity GNSS (GPS/GLONASS/BDS/ Galileo /NavIC/QZSS) receiver for positioning.

The rich interface set (e.g. LCM, camera, touch panel, microphone, SPK, UART, USB, I2C, SPI) extends the applicability of the module to a wide range of M2M applications. These include smart POS, smart cash registers, smart home gateways, smart robots, smart wearables, smart security, PDAs & tablets, vending machines, delivery lockers, audio and video recorders, and video streaming and entertainment systems.
