The TPS92543QPKDRQ1 device incorporates a synchronous boost controller and a single-chip synchronous buck LED driver, featuring a wide buck input operating voltage range from 4.5V to 65V. The TPS92543QPKDRQ1 consists of two sub-light strings of three series-connected floating bypass FET controllers.

The synchronous boost controller implements a peak current mode controller that can operate in constant voltage mode. The boost converter has been programmed to operate in two phases together with another TPS92543. The output voltage can be programmed using a programmable 8-bit DAC.

The single-chip synchronous step-down driver can achieve adaptive on-time average current mode control function and is designed to be compatible with shunt FET dimming technology and dynamic beam headlamps based on LED matrix managers. The adaptive on-time control function can provide a nearly constant switching frequency, with a frequency setting range of 100kHz to 1.0MHz. The inductor current detection and closed-loop feedback function can achieve an accuracy better than ±4% over a wide range of input voltage, output voltage and ambient temperature.

The TPS92543QPKDRQ1 features two sub-strings of three series-connected floating bypass FET controllers, capable of performing LED parallel FET dimming. Each controller can perform FET dimming, with a segment voltage as high as 55V. The device includes programmable registers for each individual phase shift and pulse width.

The TPS92543QPKDRQ1 includes an internal oscillator. The UART serial interface is compatible with TPS9266x and TPS9254x devices. The internal EEPROM can store system default values as well as calibration and lighting module data. Four configurable MPIOs can be configured as digital inputs or outputs, or ADC inputs, for system temperature compensation, LED grading and encoding.

The TPS92543QPKDRQ1 is available in a 7.0mm × 7.0mm heat-enhanced 48-pin HTQFP package with exposed pads.
