Teledyne DALSA, a global leader in machine vision technology and a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies, has announced the launch of the Z-Trak™ Express 1K5 3D laser profilometer series. Z-Trak Express 1K5- is the latest innovation in the Z-Trak series, specifically designed for achieving cost-effective 3D measurement and inspection. It can provide real-time high-speed 3D processing and achieve a maximum contour rate of 5,000 contours per second throughout the entire measurement range. This makes it an ideal choice for many industries, including secondary battery production, automotive manufacturing, wood inspection, factory automation and logistics, etc.

The Z-Trak Express 1K5 has a 1700mm horizontal field of view and is capable of precisely measuring and inspecting wide-body objects such as wooden boards, road surfaces, pallets and automotive parts using a single sensor. It also supports integrating multiple sensors in various topological structures, enabling advanced measurement and detection tasks such as measuring the thickness of moving parts, conducting continuous 360-degree detection, and expanding the horizontal field of view, without affecting Z-resolution. To simplify deployment and reduce costs, the Z-Trak Express 1K5 uses a single data line to synchronize multiple sensors and supports content-based triggering to enhance flexibility.

All Z-Trak profilometers are ready for deployment and can achieve micron-level measurement accuracy without on-site calibration. To accommodate objects of various sizes, shapes, colors, surfaces and materials, the Z-Trak Express 1K5 includes real-time user-programmable contour enhancement, two-point HDR and models with eye-safe red or blue lasers. Like all Z-Trak laser profilometers, the Z-Trak Express 1K5 can perform on-machine processing without affecting the contour rate.
