TDK Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6762) is proud to announce the new B3264xH series of double-sided distilled metalized polypropylene (MMKP) film capacitors. The new series of components are specifically designed to handle pulse stresses up to 6,500 V/µs in high-frequency applications, effectively complementing the limitations of traditional solutions. These components are highly suitable for resonant circuit applications, especially for the widely used LLC topology. With their compact form factor and features that comply with the AEC-Q200 standard, they are widely used in on-board chargers (OBC) and DC-DC converters in electric vehicles (xEVs), as well as in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), industrial switching mode power supplies (SMPS), and electronic ballasts, among other applications.

The rated DC voltage range of these capacitors is 630 V to 2000 V, the capacitance value range is 2.2 µF to 470 µF, and the rated operating temperature range is -55 °C to +125 °C, ensuring long-term reliable operation under harsh working conditions. It adopts a special dielectric system, combining polypropylene with double-sided distilled metalized polyester (PET) film, achieving high pulse intensity and excellent current handling capacity.


The B3264xH series capacitors feature high insulation resistance, low loss factor and robust self-healing property, among other characteristics. Their designed service life under +85 °C and full rated voltage conditions can reach 200,000 hours. The product comes in three different models with lead spacings (10mm, 15mm and 22.5mm) to choose from, allowing users to flexibly integrate them into circuit layouts with limited space as needed.


The outstanding performance combined with automotive-grade reliability, TDK's B3264xH series can help designers in the automotive and industrial fields further enhance the efficiency and service life of advanced power electronic systems.
