The TAS6684QPHDRQ1 is a four-channel automotive Class D audio amplifier launched by Texas Instruments, mainly applied in high-power automotive audio systems. The following are its core features:

The TAS6684QPHDRQ1 is a four-channel, digital input, high-voltage, Class D audio amplifier that supports a power supply voltage up to 45V. Combining an output current of up to 13A, this device can provide ultra-high output power and high-fidelity audio under both high-impedance and low-impedance loads. TAS6684QPHDRQ1 offers four channels at 118W (45V, 8Ω, 1% THD, BTL) and 218W (45V, 4Ω, 1% THD, BTL).


The TAS6684QPHDRQ1 integrates DC and AC load diagnostic functions, which can determine the status of the connected load before enabling the output stage. During audio playback, the status can be monitored through the output current detection function applicable to each channel and the temperature of each channel, and the measurement results can be reported to the host processor with an ultra-small delay via TDM. The TAS6684QPHDRQ1 uses a real-time load diagnosis function that operates independently of the host and audio input to monitor the output load status when playing audio.


To optimize system efficiency, the DSP integrated in TAS6684QPHDRQ1 supports H-class envelope tracking control, eliminating the need to develop complex tracking software and enabling local boost control without an external microcontroller.


The TAS6684QPHDRQ1 device provides an additional low-latency signal path for each channel, offering up to 70% faster signal processing speed at 48kHz and supporting an audio signal path delay of less than 100us at a sampling rate of 96kHz. Thereby supporting time-sensitive active noise cancellation (ANC) and road noise cancellation (RNC) applications.
