SGMICRO Electronics has launched the SGM4020, a low-drift, low-power, small-package, high-precision, low-noise voltage reference. This device is suitable for use in industrial equipment, communication equipment, medical equipment, and battery-powered systems.

The SGM4020 is a CMOS voltage reference source designed for precision applications, combining low power consumption, low drift, and high stability. Its input voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V, and it can output seven fixed voltages: 1.25V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V, 4.096V, and 5V. The maximum initial accuracy is ±0.05%, with a maximum temperature drift of 5ppm/℃, a static current of only 66µA, and an output current capability of ±10mA.

The chip's output noise in the 0.1Hz to 10Hz frequency band is approximately 6µVP-P/V, providing a high-precision, low-noise voltage reference for high-resolution data conversion systems. The output remains stable across a capacitive load range of 0.1µF to 10µF, with long-term drift of less than 50ppm over 1000 hours, and extremely low hysteresis, significantly enhancing system performance.

The device is housed in environmentally friendly SOT-23-5 and SOT-23-6 small-size green packages, featuring low static current, making it suitable for space-constrained, battery-powered portable devices. The rated operating temperature range spans -40°C to +125°C, meeting the long-term operational requirements of most industrial, communication, and medical applications.
