IBM claims that Power11 is the most "resilient" server in the history of IBM Power: it has an uptime of 99.9999% and can achieve zero planned downtime during system maintenance. In addition, it is equipped with IBM Power Cyber Vault and takes less than one minute to detect ransomware threats.

The initial products of Power11 servers simultaneously include high-end, mid-range and entry-level products, and are provided in the form of IBM Power Virtual Server Cloud service on IBM Cloud. It will also become the first Power server to support the Spyre AI inference accelerator.

Compared with Power9, the core performance of Power11 has increased by 55%. Compared with Power10, the entry-level and mid-range systems of Power11 have more cores and a 45% increase in capacity.

IBM Power11 will be available globally on July 25, 2025.
