Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. Introducing the new NTC immersion thermistor -NTCAIMM66H, which has been certified by AEC-Q200. Vishay BCcomponents NTCAIMM66H adopts a miniaturized design, equipped with compact sensor terminals and fine insulated wires, making it highly suitable for use in the small Spaces of liquid-cooled automotive systems. It can respond quickly to temperature changes within as short as 1.5 seconds.
The recently released robust device consists of a micro NTC thermistor (with lead-free brass rings) installed in a 316L stainless steel housing and a 0.35mm ² AWG#22 insulated wire. The insulated wire adopts a FLR2X structure with a traction force greater than 30N. These wires can be directly crimped to automotive connectors without the need for expensive wire-to-wire connectors, and the stainless steel housing can be in permanent contact with water or other liquids.
In addition to solar heating systems, energy storage systems, industrial drives and tools, as well as servers, the NTCAIMM66H can also be used for temperature measurement, sensing and control in liquid-cooled automotive systems, such as on-board chargers (OBCs), charging heads and sockets for hybrid/electric vehicles. The device can be customized with different cable and stripping lengths, specifications and conductor electroplating materials to meet the needs of specific applications. Thus, Vishay customers can integrate thermistors into the complete sensor solution of the thermal management system (TMS) of hybrid vehicles/electric vehicles.
The resistance value of this immersion sensor at +25 °C (R25) is 10 k with an error of ± 2%, and the B25/85 value is 3984 K with an error of ± 0.5%. The maximum power consumption of this device is 100 mW, and the operating temperature range is from -40 C to +125 C.
Samples of NTCAIMM66H are now available and mass production has been achieved. The supply cycle is 12 to 14 weeks.
