Introduction

The YT8521S utilizes state-of-the-art DSP technology and analog front end (AFE) to enable high-speed data transmission and reception over UTP cables. With cross detection and auto-correction, polarity correction, adaptive equalization, crosstalk cancellation, echo cancellation, timing recovery, and error correction, the YT8521S achieves robust transmissions and receipts at 10Mbps, 100Mbps, or 1000Mbps. 

1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 10BASE-Te data transfers between the MAC and PHY are performed over the Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface (RGMII) or Serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface (SGMII) interfaces, and the YT8521S supports a wide range of RGMII signaling voltages, including 3.3V, 2.5V and 1.8V.

The YT8521S also supports SerDes interfaces configurable as SGMII, 1000BASE-X, or 100BASE-FX. 

The YT8521S supports the proprietary LRE100-4 feature, which enables the device to auto-negotiate and connect with LRE100-4-compliant link partners in extended cable extension applications up to 400 meters.
