Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation (" Toshiba ") recently announced the launch of a new series of dual-channel high-speed standard digital isolators for automotive applications - the "DCM32xx00 Series". This series consists of four devices, which can achieve stable operation through high common-mode transient suppression (CMTI) of 100kV/μs (typical value) and high-speed data transmission rate of 50Mbps (maximum value). All devices comply with the EC-Q100 safety and reliability standards for automotive electronic devices and have begun to support mass shipment.
To ensure the safety and reliability of the on-board charger (OBC) and battery management system (BMS) in hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and pure electric vehicles (EV), the required devices not only need to ensure isolation but also have the function of preventing noise transmission. Toshiba's latest automotive standard digital isolator can provide an outstanding solution for the multi-channel high-speed communication and high CMTI required by these isolation devices.
The latest standard digital isolator achieves a high CMTI of 100kV/μs (typical value) by adopting Toshiba's proprietary magnetic-coupled isolated transmission method. This can achieve a high level of anti-electrical noise capability between input and output in isolated signal transmission, thereby realizing stable control signal transmission and contributing to the stable operation of the equipment. In addition, they can also achieve a low pulse width distortion of 0.8ns (typical value) and a data transmission rate of 50Mbps (maximum value). These new products are applicable to dual-channel high-speed communication applications such as I/O interfaces that support CAN communication.
Toshiba's four-channel automotive standard digital isolator has entered mass production. Currently, its product line has expanded to a dual-channel small SOIC8-N package. In the future, Toshiba will further expand its channel and packaging range for automotive and industrial equipment, and will continue to provide high-quality isolation devices and optocouplers to meet the reliability and real-time data transmission requirements of automotive equipment.
