The TJA1101B is an improved version of the successful TJA1101A. High-performance, single-port Automotive Ethernet PHY compliant with IEEE 100BASE-T1. The device complies with all the latest conformance test specifications, including the OPEN Alliance EMC Specification 2.0.

• Designed according to ISO26262 standard and ASIL-A standard, making the design of safe vehicles easier

• The TJA1101B is designed for automotive applications and complies with the applicable standards, providing 100Mbit/s transmission and reception over an unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable up to 15 meters long.

• Highly integrated device design is reliable, and no external filters and ESD protection components are required in the MDI path

• Save line cost and weight by enabling fully OPEN Alliance TC-10 compliant sleep and wake forwarding on data lines and by replacing dedicated wake lines,

Bus interface conforming to MII and RMII standards

Optimized for the following automotive use cases:

The transmitter is optimized for capacitive coupling with unshielded twisted pair

The adaptive receive equalizer is optimized to support at least 15m of automotive cable length

Enhanced integrated PAM-3 pulse shaping for low RF radiation

Optimized output driver strength for EMC for MII and RMII

MDI pins resist transients in the automotive environment

MDI pins do not require external filtering or ESD protection

Automotive grade temperature range: -40°C to 125°C

Meet the automotive AEC-Q100 standard

Low Power mode:

Dedicated PHY enables/disables input pins to minimize power consumption

Suppressor output for voltage regulator control for voltage regulator control

Wake and sleep concepts that meet Open Alliance standards

Diagnosis:

Real-time monitoring of link stability and transmission data quality

Diagnose cable errors (short and open circuit)

Non-gap power supply undervoltage detection, with fault silence characteristics

Internal, external, and remote loopback modes for diagnostics
