Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of the latest isolated amplifiers - VIA0050DD, VIA0250DD and VIA2000SD. These new devices have stronger performance and are suitable for applications that have high requirements for high precision, high reliability and compact size, such as industry, automotive and medical, etc.
The VIA series isolated amplifiers feature outstanding thermal stability and precise measurement capabilities. These amplifiers feature a typical common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 150 kV/μs, ensuring stable performance even in harsh environments such as heavy-duty motor applications. A ± 0.05% low gain error and a typical minimum gain drift of 15 ppm/°C ensure precise measurements under different time and temperature conditions without the need for calibration. In addition, these devices also offer a high bandwidth of 400 kHz, providing a faster measurement speed compared to traditional photoelectric isolation amplifiers.
Each amplifier in this series also features low offset error and drift, stronger isolation capability and built-in diagnostic functions, which can simplify the measurement of precise current and voltage. Built-in common-mode voltage detection can prevent failures in current and voltage measurement applications. Therefore, these amplifiers are particularly suitable for applications with extremely strict reliability requirements. This series is compatible with Vishay's WSBE low TCR, high power shunt, ensuring outstanding performance within a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The VIA0050DD is a capacitor-isolated amplifier that has been optimized for environments with limited space and the need to ensure low power consumption. This device features a high common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of at least 100 kV/μs, ensuring reliable performance even in noisy environments. With a low differential input voltage of 50 mV, it is ideal for precise isolated current measurement in space-constrained applications such as power inverters, battery storage systems, motor phase current detection and industrial motor control. Also, with a wide differential input voltage of 250 mV, the VIA0250DD provides isolated current and voltage measurements.
The VIA2000SD has the highest signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and bandwidth among the three products, making it the best choice for high-fidelity signal transmission in complex environments. Its linear differential input voltage (0.02V to 2V) enables precise isolation voltage measurement and is suitable for applications such as busbar voltage monitoring and UPS.
The VIA series isolated amplifiers are designed to provide reliable and accurate performance for a variety of applications, including bus voltage monitoring, AC motor control, power and solar inverters, as well as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). These amplifiers ensure precise measurement of high-voltage potential dividers and precision shunt devices, easy monitoring of industrial motor drivers, stable performance for renewable energy systems, and maintenance of signal integrity in critical power systems.
Samples of VIA0050DD, VIA0250DD and VIA2000SD are now available and have been put into mass production. The supply cycle is 12 to 16 weeks.
