Product Description:

The SimpleLink™CC2340R2 device is a 2.4GHz wireless microcontroller (MCU) for low-power Bluetooth® 5 and Zigbee. Optimized for low-power wireless communications as an entry-level SoC (System on Chip), the device supports a wide range of end products in categories such as medical, building automation, beacons, asset tracking, consumables, smart grid, and personal electronics. In addition, the CC2340R2 device can also be used as a connected Bluetooth Low Energy network processor (or "data pump"), adding full Bluetooth Low energy functionality to the main MCU via a serial interface. The features highlighted in this device include:

• Support Bluetooth® 5 features: High speed mode (2Mbps PHY), long distance (125kbps and 500kbps PHY for LE encoding), Privacy 1.2.1 and channel selection algorithm 2, and backward compatibility and support for Bluetooth® 4.2 and earlier low power specifications.


A fully qualified Bluetooth® 5.3 software protocol stack (the SimpleLink™ CC23xx software development Kit (SDK) is included).


• The SimpleLink™ CC23xx Software Development Kit (SDK) supports the Zigbee® Green Power stack (1)


• Ultra-low standby current of less than 0.71µA with RTC operation and full RAM retention significantly extends battery life, especially for applications with long sleep intervals.


• Integrated balanced and unbalanced transformers to reduce bill of Material (BOM) board layout wiring.


• Excellent radio sensitivity and robust (selective and blocking) performance for low power Bluetooth® (125kbps LE coded PHY with integrated balancer -102dBm).


• Pin-to-pin compatible with CC2340R5 RGE package.


The CC2340R21N0RGER device is part of the SimpleLink™ MCU platform, which includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread, Zigbee, Sub-1GHz MCUS and host MCUS that share a common, easy-to-use development environment. It includes a single-core software development kit (SDK) and a rich toolset.
